Recorded for
RTE Spanish television station and later broadcast throughout
other European countries, this is the complete concert from
San Sebastian. Picture quality is excellent and would look
to be an off-air VHS recording carefully transfered to DVD
in 2 hour mode. There are no drop-outs or picture faults.
Audio is in hi-fi stereo with excellent dynamics and definition
and virtually no tape-hiss. Picture and audio are in perfect
sync.
The only [very] slight distraction is the non-removable,
on-screen Spanish-translation lyric caption throughout each
song, along the bottom of the screen. Excellent footage
and superb audio.
The set list, as ever with Cohen shows, reads like a best
of LC songs. Cohen is backed with his, now familiar, girl
backing vocalists and accomplished band of musicians.
This is [as far as I know] the only complete Cohen live
show to be broadcast on television.
