What happened: What didn't? Gaga's one-hour set combined festival pomp, pop precision, weird banter ("I used to go to festivals, get naked and take acid") and her waving her naked backside in front of 50,000 people. It was banan-ass. Of course, having sold as many records as anyone on the bill this year, and with a dress sense as large as her popularity, Stefani Germanotta was always bound to be on to a winner with a crowd starved of stage presence by the indie bands on show on the Other stage. She didn't disappoint; her dancing, bizarre mid-song banter and costumes (including a boob flamethrower!) providing at least as much entertainment as tracks like The Fame, Just Dance and recent single Paparazzi.

Where and when: Other stage, 8pm
Dress code:
Where to start? Lady G wore five costumes including Union Jack-branded bondage/biker gear, a see-through bubble coat, a glass dress that made her look like Paul Stanley's mirror guitar and others too fruity to describe in detail here.
Who's watching: The Lily Allen crowd – and those expecting some entertainment/a car crash. They got the former.
High point: Gaga writhing around a piano playing snippets of Poker Face. At one point she was almost upside down. Plus, the inevitable singalong when she sang the No 1 single for real.
Low point: During an impassioned speech about the paparrazzi, Gaga seemed to think it was July. That and the backing track doing much of the vocal leg work.
In a Tweet: Pop madness/brilliance from a performer at home in front of the huge crowds.
