This is Oasis performing "Unplugged" for an MTV Special with additional backing artists, including String & Brass section, Harmonica and Piano. This was part of a long series of various artists performing without the use of electrically amplified instruments.

This performance is without Liam who had a sore throat on the evening, and can be seen occasionally in one of the upper boxes cheering on. Just before playing Cast No Shadow, Noel looks up to Liam, and says "Oh, There you are!".

The audio recording here is slightly more complete than the video recording, as it includes a few extra comments from Noel. Just before Talk Tonight a girl in the audience predicts what he is about to play, and he says, "Tenner for the woman in the black mate".
