I think I must have overlooked this show, thinking it was
just another Post Waters show, not realising that it was a
Soundboard recording. This is a magnificent recording taken
from the Soundboard, the clarity of the sounds is nothing
short of stunning. Sara (YGBC) quotes on her website "a
bit distorted in the loud parts but real SBD with amazing
sound definition, You can actually catch details you'd
never hear in any audience recording". The audience in
this show are either very quiet, or just not included in the
sound recording. From the opening sounds of Shine On You
Crazy Diamond the sound effects are truly wonderful. This
by the sound of it could have been an official release. Dave
Gilmour speaks after Learning To Fly, and it sounds
so crystal clear. This is the best quality sound recording
from the 1987-88 World Tour. |
