Pink Floyd
"MK: Reunion Arena Master"
Reunion Arena, Dallas, Texas, USA

21st November 1987

backstage before the showexample of the Marantz PMD-430 deck
This recording comes from the guy who recorded the show, so it is from the master tapes. Here are some notes from the taper himself:

Recording Equipment: Marantz PMD-430 deck with two ECM-33F microphones (it was a great deck for it's time before DAT's became available), using Maxell XLII Tapes, and recorded from about the 10th-12th row slightly off center.

Playback on Akai GX-R60EX>Sony Vaio PCV-RX860 computer>Cool Edit Pro>CD

I did not tape the 2nd nights show as I figured it would be the same show and I opted to go to Ft. Worth and tape U2 since I had great seats.

One kind of funny side note, I had the opportunity to go back stage and meet Gilmour and Mason before the show, so here I was backstage with my very large deck under my shirt in the pit of my back with mics, tapes, batteries tucked all over the place meeting the boys. It was a bit surreal.......that's me standing directly to the left of Gilmour looking like a 24 year old kid in awe at the time!
