(Recorded by Mike Tannehill - T-308)
14th Dec 1974

Original T notes:
I got the cassette tapes for this in trade from a guy in England in 1975 or 1976. I don't know the generation but I believe it is low. The main problem with the source tapes is that the left channel drops out several times in the show. This happens the worst during SOYCD and You Gotta Be Crazy. This was most likely due to a bad mic connection while making the original recording. I have never heard another version that doesn't have this same problem. I used the right channel for both when there was a loss of the left channel. I've also fixed a nagging little edit problem at about the 12:00 point of SOYCD. You probably won't be able to tell exactly where unless you compare different versions with this one very closely. SOYCD and Any Colour You Like were split between sides on the cassettes so I put them back together. There is a crackling noise in a couple of places just before the cassette tape runs out.
This has always been one of my favorite shows even with the problems. The audience was very quiet and respectful something that just doesn't happen anymore.
A few years ago I did another transfer of these tapes to CD-r. I traded it one time. There are at least two other versions of this show available on CD-r, one is called Heavy Fog in Bristol. I've checked it out and it is from that first tape to CD-r transfer I did a few years ago. The other is Brainwaves Coherence Bristol I haven't heard it but suspect it is a clone of the Heavy Fog version. I'm starting to feel like I'm competing with myself.
I did the editing, mastering, analog to digital transfer and the artwork for this version of this show. Please keep the artwork and text file, unaltered, together with the SHN's.

One thing that has not been mentioned about this show is the very laid-back approach to the performance. There are some lovely guitar pieces by David Gilmour, which is what makes this show worth having. The quality isn't fantastic, but the performance makes up for it.
