Pink Floyd
"1ST GENERATION"
Festhalle, Frankfurt, Germany
17th November 1972

Comments (from Luis)
Comments this is the untouched source that JFG used for his re-master I think. This one sounds brighter to my ears, hiss is practically inexistent and it sounds really nice, almost a solid EX, all instruments sounds perfectly audible and overall it has a good balance. I wont go on the performance since we know November 72 is of a very good quality, but I think this one should be the best of the late 1972 show, even better than November 15th... I'd recommend this over the other one, is nice always to have the raw rip.

Nigel's Comments: This is a very nice and crisp sounding show with some excellent vocal chants before the scream in Careful with that axe Eugene. I have felt it necessary to re-master (repair) this recording due to the channels not being balanced correctly, and also to the middle portion of Eugene as one channel was almost none existent or faulty for quite some time. By copying the left channel onto the right channel it makes it much better to listen to now.
