Pink Floyd
Rainbow Theatre, Finsbury Park, London, UK
18th Feb 1972

Notes that came with this show from Chris Nokes:
This is longer than whatever other version previously circulated, at last a very nice version for this second date at the Rainbow Theatre too. As for the version from the master of 2-17 sound quality is not distinctly superior to the other low gens in circulation, if the 2-17 Master>HIFI sounds more or less like the version from the 2nd generation cassette (it's practically just longer than the 2nd gen.) this master of 2-18 is not sounding that better than the 'unknown-low gen." I got before, but this is actually longer than that. I can detect here some more anomalies than in the other version I have, almost certainly because of the difference of the volume levels but it has a bit crispier sound. I rec'd 18feb72 from Dirk Uther from Essen, Germany. Here is his info:http://www.elp-cdtrading.com/html/others.html

There was an immence amount of hiss and background noise to this show which was for me too overpowering. With the aid of Adobe's Audition I have managed to remove most of this background noise, attempts to use hiss reduction were not as effective. There are just the odd occasion where the music has artifacts, but on the whole the sound is now much clearer and more enjoyable to listen to. I have also re-indexed Disc 2 which originally had audience cheering and tuning before songs which I find most annoying.

Track Details:

Disc 1:
1. Speak To Me
