Pink Floyd
"Bradford Master - The Definative Edition"
The Great Hall, Bradford University,
Bradford, Yorkshire, UK

10th Oct 1971

A very clean clone of the master cassettes. This was an outstanding performance by the Floyd. The recording includes all tune-ups and band chatter between tracks. The boys are in a playful mood, as you can tell by their interaction with the audience, which is very quiet during the songs. There is no appreciable hiss. The taper used 60 minute cassettes, 30 minutes to a side, which is obvious by the breaks in the master tape.

There is a very nice opening to Cymbaline, some unusual drumming and other small special effects in the middle of A Saucerful Of Secrets, and generally another fine late 1971 performance. As always I have kept the original recording preserved without any processing for those that would like that version, but I have enjoyed repairing all the little tiny gaps and dropouts, and repairing some joins so as to make the music flow so much better. It is virtually impossible to detect where each repair has taken place. There are also some lovely tuneups in between the songs, especially just before One of These Days.
