Pink Floyd
Ahoy, Rotterdam
3rd April 1971

This is the complete recording of this show, previously available on bootleg, that only covered part of the concert. I have reduced the hiss on this recording, as it was quite noticeable, and although the recording is stereo it does not have a great deal of separation. From the end of Fat Old Sun to parts of Cymbaline, and also Saucerful of Secrets, there was crackle present in the right-hand channel but not on the left. By copying the left channel over the right this has eliminated the annoying interference, but has made the recording mono , but it does sound much better. The sound is now exceptionally clear, and a superb performance throughout the concert. This is also much more complete than previous versions, and is from Recorder No 2, so this is an upgrade of the second source.

The other version of this show (from Recorder No 1) is known as "Live in Rotterdam" (on MAF label) - this is a different and better source! but incomplete. I hope the rest comes out one day. However we get to hear AHM with brass and choir from April 1971 in Ex-- quality! the discs timings are (43:41/49:44). I will get a copy of this soon.
