Pink Floyd
"Pictures of Pink Floyd" - The Definitive Edition
Konserthuset, Gothenburg, Sweden
11th Nov 1970

This is one of my all-time favourite recordings. This was one of the very first bootlegs that I obtained many years ago, and I have pain-stakingly re-mastered a new copy of this album, as a result of a direct-rip from an original vinyl LP. Atom Heart Mother has now been included due to someone speed-correcting the track before creating the CD which I received. The only track that is now missing is "Remergence", as it didn't come from this performance, but Blues has been left because it concluded the performance nicely. The end result is about as clean as you're ever going to get, with as many clicks and pops removed, as well as minimum hiss - I have not altered the hiss level as their was very little as this recording has never been on cassette.

The title of the opening track is the result of a mis-understanding of what is actually said. "My Lords, Ladies and Gentleman, Mister Nicholas Mason", the last part sounding like "The Librest Spacement Monitor"!

The venue and date of this concert is also not certain, and there are a few other dates that can be considered:
- an often considered date and venue is on 06-02-1971 at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

- however most people say it is 11-11-1970, because of the show in Hamburg 3 days after, had a similar version of "The Embryo" at Ernst Merck Halle, Hamburg, Germany. I used to think this was from 12th December at the Roundhouse, Dagenham, but have decided that 11th Nov now seems more appropriate.

Track Details:

1. Corrosion (The Libest Spacement Monitor)
2. Embryo
3. Fat Old Sun
4. Green is the Colour (taken from "Command Performance" and hiss slightly reduced)
5. Atom Heart Mother (speed corrected - as best as possible)
6. A Saucerful of Secrets
7. Blues #

# Note: The last track was not actually from the same concert as the rest of this album, but has been included because it was on the original Vinyl release, and closes the album nicely. This is from alt. recorder of 26th Feb 1971 Stadthalle, Offenbach, West Germany

Recording Lineage: LP > (Speed Correct) > CDR > SHN > CDR > WAV > Re-Master > CDR
