This is Pink Floyd's contribution to the "Song Days Festival" in Essen West Germany, in October 1969, and although the performance is very short at less than 26 minutes, it is however very interesting. The sound quality is very clear, and now that I have reduced the hiss further, is a pleasure to listen to. There is the odd sound of glasses or bottles chinking, adding to the atmosphere. Although there aren't much to the lyrics of Careful With That Axe Eugene the words are whispered in a way that I have not heard before; "Careful"...."Care...ful"...."Careful" ... "Careful With"...."Careful With That Axe Eugene".

The taper kept playing around with the microphones a bit, I have been able to remove some of the microphone noises without detection, but have left most of them alone. Unfortunately Interstellar Overdrive sounds incomplete as it gets to a quiet passage and then fades out.
