Led Zeppelin
Earls Court, London, UK
24th May 1975

The Saturday performance of "Dazed" is certainly the better when compared to the 25th May, so this edges in front...and it has a superb "Stairway". .

By consensus, this is the strongest performance from the five nights at Earl's Court; the recording is often listed as a "soundboard"; it may actually be taken from a video soundtrack but is excellent quality, capturing the band at their "Tight But Loose" best. Bonham always thought these shows were the best the band put on in the UK; There was a good mix of straightforward rock and roll, excellent performances of the No Quarter and Dazed and Confused "epics", plus a wonderful acoustic set and a sublime version of "Stairway" with Page in top form. The band's intimacy with the audience is notable and their ability to relax on home turf added to the celebratory feeling of a landmark concert.
