David Gilmour
"Fractals: The Colors of Infinity"
Soundtrack Music from the DVD
Circa 1994 (Released on VHS Video 1997)

Here we have the audio version of the soundtrack to the DVD release. I did find the DVD absolutely facinating, and would recommend the purchase of the official DVD. Listening to the music without the pictures means that the music is almost continuous, and although there is a lot of narrative, it works well listening to the edited documentary together with the music. With so many short clips and longer pieces of music, I would have thought that there was enough music here to release a soundtrack album of just the music, as I am sure that Gilmour must have recorded much longer pieces. It's a real shame that they can't release something like this to be downloaded from the internet for a reasonable sum of money!

I have carefully edited the soundtrack from the DVD to leave mostly just the music by David Gilmour. It has been necessary to leave some of the narrative in places where the music stops for continuity, and also so that it is still interesting to listen to along with the excellent music. I have given each track a name rather than call each track one, two etc.
