My first impressions with this guy from Norway were that he was a very keen Tangerine Dream collector, and he was desperate to get hold of a book that has long been out of print known as "Voices in the Dunes". He had some interesting recordings of early TD that I was interested in.

We came to an arrangement that if I could find the book then he would be willing to send me some of these recordings on CD that I wanted. I discovered that the book is quite hard to get hold of, and consists of 466 pages in paperback and was limited to 1000 copies. The original cost was $39 + postage.

I indeed found someone in Germany who had the book available in Mint condition, and was prepared to sell it for a reasonable price. I contacted Øyvind with the details, and to my disbelief he said he was only prepared to pay 10 Euros maximum for the book. Postage to the UK would be Euro 8.20 regular, 16.50 registered, the guy in Norway expected me to buy the book and then send it to Norway. 10 Euros wouldn't even cover the postrage! I felt that this would be an insult to the person selling the book, as I am sure the book is easily worth 40-50 Euros.

This is the reply I got back from Øyvind:
O.k. Thanks for all your information. I am not interested in this book, cause i just want it as a supplement, and will not pay so much for that using-purpose. And i think i end our contact here!! (sorry)..But thanks for all your info. and mails....bye

I replied saying that I had fullfilled my side of the deal, and the least I was expecting was the recordings I wanted from him, I would even be prepared to send blank CDs to him. I eventually got a simple reply:
Please not contact me anymore....bye

In conclusion do not deal with this person because he is a complete time-waster, and not worth the effort!
